SHIFT Summer School 2026
1. Program Overview
The 1st Edition of the SHIFT Summer School (Shaping Health Innovation for the Future of Technology) will take place at Mines Saint-Étienne, France. This interdisciplinary program is designed to equip participants with practical skills in Digital Health, supported by the Région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Saint-Étienne Métropole.
2. About the Program
SHIFT focuses on the intersection of healthcare and technology. The curriculum covers healthcare data analytics, cybersecurity, interoperability, AI & health literacy, ethics, governance, and project management. The program emphasizes hands-on learning through team-based activities and culminates in a Hackathon where students solve real-world healthcare challenges.
3. Financial Details
- Program Fee: Approximately €3,700 (Includes tuition, course materials, workshops, cultural excursions, and some meals).
- Accommodation: Available at "Maison des Élèves" (~€300–€400 for the duration).
- Travel: Students must cover their own airfare and visa costs.
4. Program Dates & Schedule
Duration: May 18 – May 29, 2026.
Week 1: Lectures on Data, AI, and Cybersecurity.
Week 2: Ethics, Project Management, and Hackathon.
5. Eligibility Criteria
- Target Audience: Master's students, PhD candidates, and young professionals.
- Background: Interest in Engineering, Data Science, or Health Sciences.
- Language: English proficiency required.
