About GEM Trailblazer Summer:

GEM Trailblazer Summer is NTU's flagship short-term programme offering international students an opportunity to experience world-class academic courses, cultural immersion, and meaningful networking in Singapore. It combines academic excellence with experiential learning.

Programme Details:

Programme Dates (2026):

  • 4-Week Programme: 22 June 2026 – 18 July 2026
  • 2-Week Programme (Session 1 - ET5131): 22 June 2026 – 4 July 2026
  • 2-Week Programme (Session 2 - ET5122): 2 July 2026 – 18 July 2026

Location: NTU Campus, Singapore

Academic Structure: Select up to two credit-bearing courses (3 or 4 Academic Units each) from more than 20 courses across five interdisciplinary tracks.

Five Programme Tracks:

  • Language & Cultural Studies
  • Entrepreneurship & Innovation
  • Creative Design & Media
  • Success in the Globalized Marketplace
  • New Technologies, New World

Eligibility:

  • Undergraduate students only (currently enrolled)
  • Minimum CGPA of 2.5/5.0 (or 2.0/4.0)
  • Proficiency in English language
  • Postgraduate students are NOT eligible

Application Timeline:

  • Partner Nomination Deadline: 15 March 2026
  • Student Application Deadline: 31 March 2026
  • Admission Notification: 6-8 weeks after application deadline

Programme Fees (For IIT Madras Students):

Programme Fees:

  • Tuition Fee: Waived (up to 2 courses)
  • Registration Fee: SGD 153 (~USD 115)
  • Administrative Fee: SGD 917 (~USD 688)
  • Total Programme Fees: SGD 1,070 (~USD 803)

Accommodation Fees (Mandatory On-Campus):

  • 2-Week Programme: SGD 650 (~USD 488)
  • 4-Week Programme: SGD 1,300 (~USD 976)

Total Estimated Cost:

  • 2-Week Programme: SGD 1,720 (~USD 1,291)
  • 4-Week Programme: SGD 2,370 (~USD 1,779)

All fees inclusive of 9% GST. Additional costs: airfare, visa, travel insurance, meals, bedlinen, and personal expenses.

Accommodation:

  • Mandatory on-campus twin-sharing accommodation
  • Air-conditioned rooms in Halls of Residence
  • Facilities: bed, desk, chair, fan, wardrobe, Ethernet
  • Bedlinen and pillows NOT provided
  • Check-in: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm only

  • Merit-based selection

  4. Complete NTU online application after nomination
  5. Await admission decision
