About GYLP

Global Young Leaders Program (GYLP) is a fully funded, one-year academic exchange program sponsored by POSTECH & POSCO. Launched in 2022, GYLP offers an exceptional scholarship package to outstanding students.

Now welcoming applicants for our 5th batch, we are expanding eligible partners to strengthen partnerships and foster mutual collaboration.

About the Program

Program Overview:

Duration: 1 Full Academic Year (10 months, September 2026 - June 2027)

Eligibility

  • Undergraduate Students
  • CGPA above 8
  • English Proficiency test (TOEFL iBT 90, IELTS Academic 6.5, Duolingo 120) required

Scholarship Benefits:

  • Round-Trip Flight Ticket
  • Visa & Transportation Support: 500,000 KRW (approx. 350 USD) once
  • Living Allowance: 1,000,000 KRW (approx. 750 USD) per month
  • LEAD+: Self-Design cultural excursion & leadership education opportunity

Program Requirements:

  • Enroll at least 6 POSTECH major related credits per semester
  • Complete Korean Language Course each semester, including a Pre-Arrival Summer Course
  • Participate in Research Activities during the Winter Break
  • Engage actively in GYLP excursions and alumni activities


 

Application Guideline

  • After submitting the online application, students should register IR Portal (Student-Mobility) and submit following documents.
    • Certificate of Enrollment (Apostilled or Notarized needed for non-OECD Nationals)
    • Official Academic Transcript
    • English Language Certificate
    • Recommendation Letter
    • Copy of Passport
    • CV / Resume
    • Statement of Purpose
    • Self-Introduction Video
  • Please note that there is no separate nomination process required . However, after submitting the documents, students should get confirmation from their home institution (IITM) coordinators through our IR Portal system.
  • There is no limit on the number of applicants per institution. Admission is competitive, and selection will be based on a thorough review of all applications worldwide. Once the student is selected and accepted the admission offer, 1 GYLP student will be counted as 2 semester academic exchange students.
  • A video interview may be required for some applicants. If necessary, we will notify the student in advance.
