2026 CCU/CoE International Internship Program (Second Round) – National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan
1. Application Introduction
The College of Engineering (CoE), National Chung Cheng University (CCU), Taiwan, offers project-based research internships for international students in 2026. Interested students are advised to review the program information carefully before applying.
2. Program Eligibility
- Graduate school students (Master’s and PhD students).
- University junior students (3rd year or above).
- Not eligible: Those who have already completed a PhD degree.
- Not eligible: Passport holders of the People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong, or Macau.
- Not eligible: Current degree-seeking students, exchange students, and visiting students in Taiwanese educational institutions.
3. Intern Period
The College of Engineering provides internship opportunities for at least 9 weeks between June 1 and December 31, 2026. Individual mentors may define the exact internship period differently; applicants must check each research topic for precise duration and preferred dates.
4. Fees & Scholarship
- The program fee and registration fee are covered by the College of Engineering (fee-free for participants).
- Research topics are offered in two types:
- Type A – Scholarship
- Type B – Self-funded
- For Type A (Scholarship), CCU offers a scholarship of around NT$ 12,000 per month (30 days), which generally covers on-campus accommodation, living expenses, and partial airfare. This is a standard amount; the total scholarship may be adjusted by the project mentor based on the program budget and the intern’s performance.
- For Type B (Self-funded), interns are fully responsible for all their own expenses during the internship period.
5. Required Application Materials

- Research Plan in PDF format
- Copy of Passport (bio-page)
- Head-shot photo in ID format (JPG, at least 300 KB, 826 × 1062 pixels)

6. How to Apply
- Read the requirements of each research topic carefully. Each applicant may select up to 3 preferred research topics (priority list).
- Complete the online application form: Online Application Form
- Prepare all required application materials and combine them into a single ZIP-compressed file.
- Email the ZIP file to the Division of International Affairs (DIA), CoE, at: coleng_dia@ccu.edu.tw and CC Arvindhan R B K, Office of Global Engagement, IIT Madras .
- Use the email subject line: “Application for 2026 CCU/CoE International Internship”.
Note: Applications submitted without the online application form or without the required materials will be treated as incomplete and will not be reviewed or further notified.
7. Application Period
- Application Opening Date: February 6, 2026
- Application Deadline: March 22, 2026
8. Application Procedure & Selection
- The submitted documents will be reviewed by project mentors according to the applicant’s preference list of research topics.
- Applications are assessed based on:
- (1) GPA
- (2) Prior technical / research experience
- (3) Future research plan
- (4) Language proficiency
- The College of Engineering will inform applicants of the review results individually by email no later than April 10, 2026.
