Seoul International Winter School (SIWS) 2026

Dear Students,

We are delighted to announce the Seoul International Winter School (SIWS) 2026, hosted by the University of Seoul (UOS). This short-term winter program will be held from February 8 – 21, 2026, and offers a unique opportunity to explore Korean culture through language learning, academic lectures, and cultural immersion activities in Seoul.

Program Highlights:

• Korean Studies Lectures: Six interactive lectures in English on K-Pop, K-Drama & Movies, Food & Drink Culture, K-Cafes, and UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Korea.
• Korean Language Classes: Intensive language courses designed for beginners and intermediate learners.
• Cultural Experiences: Field trips, welcome & farewell parties, “Design Your Own Seoul” activities, and interaction with Korean Peer Advocates (PAs).

Application & Fees:

• Students from UOS Partner Institutions:
  Nomination (by coordinator) & Application: Oct 1 – Dec 31, 2025
  Fees: 1,700,000 KRW (≈180,000 JPY) [100,000 KRW registration + 1,600,000 KRW tuition incl. field trips & on-campus housing]
• Students from Non-Partner Institutions (Early Bird):
  Application: Oct 1 – Nov 30, 2025
  Fees: 1,900,000 KRW (≈200,000 JPY) [100,000 KRW registration + 1,800,000 KRW tuition]
• Students from Non-Partner Institutions (General):
  Application: Dec 1 – Dec 31, 2025
  Fees: 2,200,000 KRW (≈240,000 JPY) [100,000 KRW registration + 2,100,000 KRW tuition]

Eligibility:

Open to undergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines interested in gaining academic and cultural insights into Korea.
