Erasmus+ KA171 Faculty/Staff Mobility Programme

University of Seville, Spain

The Office of Global Engagement / International Relations Office invites applications from eligible faculty and staff of IIT Madras for Erasmus+ KA171 International Credit Mobility funded by the European Commission, under the 2024 call, in collaboration with the University of Seville (Universidad de Sevilla), Spain.

Type of Mobility: Staff Mobility for Training (STT) (subject to positions available under the Agreement)

Note: For training mobility, the University of Seville is planning to organize an International Staff Week in May 2026 (exact dates to be confirmed). Selected staff must be available to participate strictly during the announced dates.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be regular faculty or staff members of IIT Madras
  • Applicants must meet Erasmus+ KA171 eligibility criteria.
  • Priority may be given to applicants who have not previously received Erasmus+ KA171 funding, subject to availability of funds and partner university allocation.

Important: As per Erasmus+ regulations, student mobility slots cannot be converted into staff mobility slots. Student positions, if any, remain a priority in this project.

Funding: The Erasmus+ grant covers:

  • Travel support (lump sum based on distance)
  • Daily subsistence allowance as per Erasmus+ KA171 norms

The funding is limited, and selection will be strictly based on:

  • Institutional priorities
  • Erasmus+ principles
  • Availability of approved positions under the Agreement

Duration: 5 Days 

Application Procedure: Interested applicants must submit the following documents:

  1. Curriculum Vitae
  2. Motivation Letter
  3. Proposed Teaching/Training Plan
  4. Learning Agreement / Mobility Agreement (duly filled; to be signed upon selection)
  5. Any other document as specified by the partner institution

Selection Process

  • Applications will be reviewed by a duly constituted Selection Committee at IIT Madras
  • The selection will be documented through Selection Minutes, following the Erasmus+ KA171 template.
  • The final list of selected candidates will be communicated to the University of Seville for approval and grant processing.

 

 

Important Dates

  • Last date to apply: 25 Dec 2025
  • Mobility period: To be completed before 31 July 2027
  • Staff Week (Training Mobility): Tentatively May 2026

Conditions

  • Selected candidates must strictly adhere to the approved mobility period.
  • Mobility grants are subject to final approval by the University of Seville.
  • Candidates who have received Erasmus+ KA171 funding in previous years may be considered only if vacancies remain after allocations to first-time beneficiaries within the same geographic region.
