The Semester Exchange Program offers international students the opportunity to study at the IIT Madras campus and become part of the institution’s strong research-driven ethos. It provides students with exposure to IIT Madras’s rigorous education system and vibrant research ecosystem.

Eligibility

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at a partner institution.

  • Must be formally nominated by partner institution.

  • Should have proof of English language proficiency

Application Procedure

  • The partner university nominates the candidate for the program.

  • The student logs in to the SSP portal and selects courses.

  • Selected courses are reviewed and approved or rejected by the faculty.

  • The student downloads visa-supporting documents from the portal.

The Semester Exchange Programme at IIT Madras provides international students from partner universities an opportunity to study at IIT Madras for one semester or up to one academic year.
