Stephan Ruscheweyh travel bursary for young researchers
The travel bursary is named in honour of late Professor Stephan Ruscheweyh, who was the founder of the CMFT conference series as well as the CMFT journal, and the bursary is made possible with funds made available by Professor Ruscheweyh’s family. The travel bursary is meant to support young researchers with no or very limited means to be able to attend the CMFT conferences.
The following eligibility criteria will be applied:

The applicant must be a Ph.D. scholar or a Ph.D. holder less than 40 years of age at the time of the upcoming CMFT conference with an accepted talk at the conference.

The applicant must provide documentation that they have no other means to fund their travel to the conference. Candidates who have secured partial funding for travel could also be considered.
- •
Researchers from the country hosting the conference will not be eligible for the bursary.
- •
Preference will be given to applicants who have published in the CMFT journal at least once since the last CMFT conference, i.e., in Volume 22 or later, or who have a paper accepted for publication in the journal.
- •
Preference will be given to researchers who do not have full time positions.
