By studying across two leading institutions, in the UK and India, you will have the opportunity to experience a truly global, multidisciplinary environment. This integrates advanced academic knowledge with practical, industry-focused skills, preparing you to tackle pressing challenges in sustainability and climate resilience.
The programme provides comprehensive training in areas such as sustainable and societal engineering, renewable energy systems, circular economy principles, life cycle analysis and climate change mitigation.
You will also explore cutting-edge technologies for energy generation and storage, sustainable materials and resource-efficient design, alongside modules on policy, ethics and community engagement.
In addition to taught modules at both institutions, you will undertake a substantial 60-credit research dissertation, applying theoretical understanding and technical expertise to real-world sustainability challenges.
These projects, conducted in collaboration with Swansea University's research centres and IIT Madras' School of Interdisciplinary Studies (SIDiS), as well as industry partners, will offer hands-on experience in areas such as energy systems modelling, process optimisation, environmental monitoring and sustainable product development. This will all come together to equip you with highly relevant skills for careers in industry, policy and academia.
