The International Workshop on Offshore Oil & Gas (OOG2026) serves as a dedicated technical platform exclusively for offshore oil and gas engineering, bringing together industry professionals, researchers, technology developers, policymakers, and academicians to deliberate on emerging challenges, technological innovations, and operational advancements in offshore exploration and production.
The workshop aims to strengthen collaboration between industry and academia while addressing practical engineering issues in offshore environments. The event is held in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Ocean Engineering Department at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, celebrating five decades of excellence in education, research, and technological contributions to ocean and offshore engineering.

Frequently Asked Questions
Accommodation on the IIT Madras campus may be arranged on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability. Please note that the accommodation charges are not included in the workshop registration fee.
The workshop organizers do not manage the facility and have arranged it only to help participants with convenient, low-cost on-campus accommodation.
Lunch and high tea will be provided on the two workshop days. Participants are responsible for arranging and paying for all other meals.
Yes. Participants may purchase mess coupons to dine at the IIT Madras mess. The cost of the mess coupons must be borne by the participant.
