The Annual Academic Conference of the department of Humanities and Social Sciences is a student-run conference which is conducted annually. Since 2010, the Department has held conferences on such diverse themes as: 'Redefining Boundaries', 'Urban spaces', 'Traversing Margins', 'Identity and Citizenship', 'Contagion', 'Fear', 'Artificial Intelligence'. Apart from having panelists from across the country and the world presenting their papers, we have also hosted eminent speakers like Martha Nussbaum, P Sainath, Ashwini Deshpande, Paromita Vohra, Lata Mani, and Robert Fogel (Nobel Memorial Prize Winner) at our Conference. Every year, the conference includes panel discussions, paper presentations, and keynote lectures, all centred around the pre-decided theme of the year.
