PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP

This workshop offers hands-on training in key methodologies for flow imaging and visualization, providing a platform to interact with experts, learn advanced tools, and exchange ideas before the main conference. The pre-conference workshop will provide hands-on training and demonstrations on advanced experimental and imaging techniques used in fluid mechanics and related research. Sessions will include:
Introduction to Scientific Photography
Basics of imaging techniques for fluid experiments.
Image Processing using ImageJ, Tracker & MATLAB
Image enhancement, analysis, and motion tracking for experimental data.
Stroboscopy
Visualization of periodic and high-speed fluid motions.
Imaging Fluid Systems
Methods for capturing and interpreting flow phenomena.
High-Speed Imaging
Techniques for capturing transient events in fluid systems.
Goniometry and Contact Angle Measurement
Characterizing surface wettability and interfacial behavior.
Biomimetic Surfaces
Study of natural surface structures and their fluid interaction properties.
Dye Visualization & Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV)
Flow visualization and velocity field measurement techniques.
PIV Analysis
Data extraction and interpretation from flow visualization experiments.
Applications for the workshop should be submitted via this form only. The first 100 applications received will be screened and the selected participants (maximum 35) will be informed via email. Selected participants will have to register online for the workshop (separately from the conference) and pay the workshop registration fees before the specified deadline, otherwise their workshop spot will be transferred to other eligible applicants.
