Biodegradable nanomotors for targeted drug delivery to cancer cells

Ongoing
1st Year at Deakin

Moshiur Rahman

Bioinspired autonomous nanomachines are a new way of approaching and solving problems.

Unlike current passive diffusion-based nanosystems, these nanomachines can target cells in biological systems to deliver cargo and drugs. The unique fabricated systems can achieve autonomous navigation that can be highly controlled to execute tasks “on-demand” in response to tumour microenvironment. This project aims to design, fabricate and investigate biodegradable nanomotors for targeted drug delivery to cancer cells and understand their behaviour using lab-on-a-chip approach. Innovative advanced technology will be utilised to engineer the nanomotors for biomedical applications
