Eligibility Criteria

Master’s degree in sciences/engineering/technology
  • CGPA of 7.00 on a 10.00 scale or First Class (wherever awarded)
  • High score in GATE, UGC-NET, CSIR, ICAR, ICMR, DST-INSPIRE
Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology (4 years degree)
  • CGPA of 7.00 on a 10.00 scale or Aggregate percentage of 80%
  • High score in GATE, UGC-NET, CSIR, ICAR, ICMR, DST-INSPIRE
Master’s degree in arts or humanities
  • CGPA of 6.50 on a 10.00 scale
  • High score in UGC-NET
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology
  • Eight-semester program with course components including basic sciences, engineering fundamentals, and specialization
Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology
  • Four-semester program with specialization and significant research component
Four-year bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Arts, or Humanities
  • Considered equivalent to four years Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology
M. Phil. degree in Arts and Humanities
  • Considered equivalent to master’s degree in Engineering/Technology
  • Not mandatory to possess GATE, GRE, NET, CSIR scores, but a good score is expected for competitiveness
  • Candidates without scores may be considered with two years of professional work experience
