The partner institutions involved in the ABCD-Centre are planning to create a new event format specifically dedicated to the transfer of knowledge in the field of Water Security, coastal protection, transfer strategies, Climate adaptation in areas affected most by global climate change. Experts from India, Thailand and Germany will conduct this workshop with local stakeholders and decision-makers responsible for adaptation concepts and their implementation. The local stakeholders will be government officials, industry representatives, and experts responsible for coastal protection, as well as NGOs and representatives of civil society. Experts from ABCD centre, involved in this workshop, will serve to better prepare for future climate- change-related events and hazards through the transfer of a combination of advanced technical knowledge and locally adapted, targeted solutions. The workshop will innovatively merge advanced engineering, social science, and local knowledge.
