The Weiss Fund for Research in Development Economics at the University of Chicago would like to invite talented students with a substantial interest in development economics to apply to the Weiss Fund Predoctoral Fellowship.
This Weiss Fund Predoctoral Fellowship supports predoctoral positions at leading development economics institutions and seeks to expand the representation of strong researchers who have graduated from institutions in low and lower-middle-income countries.

We are seeking to identify the highest-ranked student with a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or related social science with an emphasis on quantitative analysis. We are interested in candidates from the current graduating class of 2022, as well as graduates from the classes of 2021, and 2020.
Successful candidates will receive a recommendation from the Weiss Fund for some of the most competitive predoctoral programs in the United States, giving finalists a rare endorsement in their application process. The list of open and qualifying Weiss Fund institutions and positions will be shared with successful applicants. Finalists will also be featured on the Weiss Fund website, a unique platform to showcase their work and interest in academia and economics.
