We are delighted to inform you that the Research Grants Council of Hong Kong is launching the Fourteenth Round of the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (the “Scheme”) for the 2023/24 academic year intake.
The Scheme established in 2009 aims to attract top international students to pursue PhD studies in Hong Kong’s world-class research universities. Currently, the fellowship provides a monthly stipend of HK$27,100 (approx. US$3,470) and a conference and research-related travel allowance of HK$13,600 (approx. US$1,740) per year for three years.
A total of 300 fellowships will be awarded for PhD studies commencing in the 2023/24 academic year. The online initial application is accepted from 1 September 2022 (noon Hong Kong Time (GMT + 8 hours) to 1 December 2022 (12:00 noon Hong Kong Time (GMT + 8 hours).
