Programme
The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) and the African-Asian Rural Development Organization (AARDO) are pleased to invite applications through the IIT Madras and AARDO scholarships to the Master of Science by Research (MS) Programme offered by IIT Madras. This programme is focused on technology and rural development. It is aimed at building capacity in and nurturing future global leaders from AARDO member countries who will play a pivotal role in working for the sustainable, equitable and inclusive development of rural areas.
Scholarship Benefits
Scholarship Eligibility
- Citizens of an AARDO member country
- Only applicants living and working in AARDO countries are eligible
- Applicants should be enrolled in the programme full time
- All applications will be screened and evaluated by a selection committee
Program Eligibility

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology from a recognized Institute or University for a minimum of four years duration.
(or)
- MSc. Degree in appropriate Sciences or a relevant discipline from a recognized Institute or University for a minimum 3 + 2 years duration.
